Weekly Club Notes 06.06.2017

Well done Keith Harcombe who had some good wins on his way to reaching the final of the NIBA Masters men’s open singles where he went down to Sid Siebert.
The draw for the Ladies Club singles is on the board. All entered are encouraged to make the necessary arrangements to complete their matches. 
The June Ladies “lunch and bowls” day on Friday 23 at 8.30 sees a fun change to the usual. Not only are men invited but our neighbours from the croquet club are joining us for bowls and croquet. Lunch will be at your own request on the day. Members are encouraged to take part. Contact Pam Spring at 082 374 1803 for further detail and to confirm attendance.
Good luck to our novice bowlers at the annual Niba mens and ladies novice singles all day this Sunday at Maritzburg West. 
The June E&C Charcoal Breakfast pairs takes place on Saturday 24 at 8.30. There are meat prizes and end of year accumulative cash prizes on offer. Enter on the board.
Entries for the inter PUB day at MBC on Friday June 16 are closed as all three greens have been filled. 
Entries remain open for the All Natal to be played at various venues in Pietermaritzburg from July 15. Lists are on the board

All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1.30 Saturdays. TT bowlers to enter names on the board for the annual singles competition commencing Tuesday June 13
.
Informal bowls takes place on Fridays 2pm and Sundays 9.30. Woods available. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Elaine van Rooyen, Brad Burne and Mark Mantel with Shannon Woodley scooping the presidents first touch free drink.
The Kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R80. Curry and lasagne is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away. 
The 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R700 with members needing  to be present to win. An evening meal and meat draws are on offer.
