Weekly Club Notes 12.06.2017

Well done and all the best going forward to Gus Blackbeard and Harry Brown on winning their sections of the NIBA men’s novice singles. The tournament continues this coming Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday at West.
 
The June Ladies “lunch and bowls” day on Friday 23 at 8.30 sees a change to the usual. Men are invited to join the ladies and our neighbours from the croquet club for bowls and croquet. Lunch will be at your own request on the day. Contact Pam Spring at 082 374 1803 for further detail and to confirm attendance.
The June E&C Charcoal Breakfast pairs takes place on Saturday 24 at 8.30. There are meat prizes and end of year accumulative cash prizes on offer. Enter on the board.
 
Entries remain open for the All Natal to be played at various venues in Pietermaritzburg from July 15. Lists are on the board.
Entries for the inter PUB day at MBC tomorrow  are closed as all three greens have been filled.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1.30 Saturdays. The winners of the June Parklane Spar Tricky Thursday were Suva Pillay, Alistair Stott and Tim Goodricke. After the first 6 monthly competitions the individual points leader is Suva Pillay on 38 points followed by Tim Goodricke with 31 and Dick Edwards 28. The winners of the T T mixed trips competition were Rowena Muir, Charles Carr and Ron Hargreaves.
Informal bowls takes place on Fridays 2pm and Sundays 9.30. Woods available. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Les Corlett, Mike Knoesen and Belinda Lawson  with Jenny de Bruin sipping on the presidents first touch free drink.
The Kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for a full breakfast (R30) and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast for R80. Curry and lasagne is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away. 
The 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R800 with members needing  to be present to win. An evening meal and meat draws are on offer.
