Weekly club notes 07.08.2017

Congratulations to Elna Fraser who won the Club ladies singles by squeezing past Sandra Smith 21-20.
Well done to Andrew Bond on reaching  the semi finals of the NIBA mens open singles where he went down to a resurgent Lleylon Howard. 
Good luck to Elna Fraser and either Bob Radcliffe or 16 year old Tristan Everton who will represent us at the Champion of Champions at West this Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.
The August ladies bowls and lunch day takes place Friday 18 at 8.30. Ladies from all clubs are welcome. Contact Pam Spring at 0823741803 for detail and to confirm.
Place your name on the board to attend an Umpire and/or Markers course. Contact Bob Radcliffe for more detail. Novices are encouraged to attend at least the Markers course.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1.30 Saturdays.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone. Woods are available and coaching can be arranged. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Jean Roberts, Bruce Thomas and Desray Howard with Kobus Theron sipping the presidents first touch free drink.
The Kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a roast. Curry and lasagne on is on offer Thursday evenings to eat in or take away. 
The 6pm Friday attendance draw stands at R1500. All members are entered automatically but must be present to win. A Friday evening meal and meat draws are on offer.
