Weekly Club Notes 08.10.2017

This past weekend saw our men’s league sides win their matches in the premier, first, second and fourth divisions. Our ladies lost to Lynnwood. Check the board for selections and venues for this Saturday.
Well done to Mickey Knoesen, Trevor Spring, Ken Hooper and Kevin Williams, Errol Agnew, Calvin Hollis on finishing 3rd and 4th respectively in the Niba men’s trips. Both sides lost by one point in the semifinals.
It is not too late to enter our annual Bernina Ladies fours commencing 8.30 this Sunday. Phone Elna 0722711437 or Pam 0823741803. There are great Bernina sponsored prizes on offer.
Our monthly Ladies bowls and lunch day is at 8.30 on Friday 20th. Phone Pam to confirm attendance.
Our annual Atholl Wood men’s fours is to be played at 1.30 Saturday 25 and all day Sunday 26 November. Enter soon as all greens are expected to be filled. Entry forms are at the bar or phone Kevin 0793276288 or Carol 0824942022.

Stan Webb won R2300 at our weekly 6pm Friday attendance draw. It now starts again at R100 with an evening meal on offer as well as a meat draw sponsored by Save Butchery.
All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Informal bowls on Fridays at 2pm and Sundays at 9.30 is available to everyone. There is uncertainty over an available green this Sunday due to the Bernina Ladies fours. Phone Chris at 0839913893 for clarity. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Jean Roberts, Craig Oosthuis and Alfie Smith with Jean Roberts and Hugh Barr both sipping on a “disputed” presidents first touch free drink.
Our AGM takes place on Saturday 21 at 10h00. Place your nominations for the committee and league selectors on the board.
The new fee structure for subs is on the board. Payment can be made at the bar or by EFT.
The kitchen is open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast and lunch with Sunday lunch being a traditional roast at R60. Curry and lasagne is available on Thursday evenings to eat in or take away.
