Weekly club notes 30.07.2017

Five of the eight bowlers selected to represent Niba at the BSA under 30 inter districts to be played in September are from MBC. Well done Triston Everton, Scott Fraser,, Jerald Mavhurambudzi, Celanski Everton and Gareth Bashford. Mark Laurent will play in the event of a withdrawal.
Congratulations Sandra Smith on winning our Club ladies singles.
Nithia Pillay and Hugh Barr won our July Breakfast pairs followed by Rod Braithwaite and Charles Carr with Andrew Bond and Ron Hargreaves third.
This weekend sees the annual Maritzburg College old boys reunion. Members are requested to display patience with crowds as well as stock and price changes from Thursday. The greens will be fully occupied on Friday and not accessible on Saturday. Informal bowls will take place on Sunday as will Niba Z Squad training.
Our 6pm Friday attendance draw will not take place this week. R100 will nevertheless accumulate leaving the draw at R1000 for Friday 10 August. All bowlers are welcome at our formal tabs in at 8.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays.
There will be no informal bowls this Friday but it will take place on Sunday at 9.30. Last Sunday lucky draw chicken winners were Ananda Mustard, Chris Muncaster and Hylton wood with Tristan Malgue sipping on the presidents first touch free drink.
Access to our kitchen this Friday and Saturday will be limited but back on track next week with good quality and tasty meals at good prices.
